I have not written for some time. I still following the environmental news and trying to make a difference in my little corner of the world. I kind of embarrassed for not having posted for so long. The hard part about blogging on issues you believe in, and I’m sure everyone feels this, is not that your voice is not lost in the sea of millions of blogs. I’ll admit I was a little discouraged and then it becomes difficult to make time for posting. This kind of recognition makes it all seem worthwhile.

a little Sunday inspiration…

While in San Francisco, I was able to visit with my lovely and talented friend and sometimes travel buddy Nicole. She had me over to her azing house in Bernal Heights. Her place is not fabulous, filled but NOT cluttered (very important!) with great flea market finds, photographs and fun objects. Then I discovered the bathroom and was even more impressed because she did not forget about this bathing space at all! See below.

Day of Mourning!

I’m declaring a Day of Mourning for the death of human rights in Japan.

With the institution of the fingerprinting, photographing and questioning of non-Japanese visitors entering Japan, and even of residents and permanent residents every time they come back from a visit abroad, I declare that the last vestige of human rights here is dead.
